This is Gus, an Idaho based Llewellen Setter, proudly standing guard over his master's bounty: a trio of Chukars.
The LLewellen Setter's origins are in England, France and Wales where they were first reported in the 1500s. Llewellens are considered by some to be the longest existing breed of Setters in the world. With a calm demeanor and desire to please their human companions, Llewellens are the ultimate gun dog. They stay close to the gun and maintain their bearings in rough terrain.
